She's "America's Sweetheart", drill team captain, princess of the sweetheart dance, and an excellent student. But barely a year into high school, Lauren's seemingly perfect life is turned upside down by a serious health crisis. Cappie is hesitant about high school from the very start. She's anxious about the academic pressures and strongly disapproves of girls drinking and hanging out with their boyfriends on the weekends. Yet by her junior year, Cappie is fooling around with boys and admits she's failing school. Will either girl overcome these tough times and get their lives back on track?
