I am ceaselessly grateful for the courage the girls and their families displayed during the shooting and now during the airing. While I believe the most common reaction to their stories is inspiration, I know that some have felt "out ther" for inspection. Unfortunately, some of the families felt judged for decisions and choices made in the normal course of life's journey. I hope each of them knows that I (along with countless others) celebrate their strengths and learned from their steps (and missteps). I am encouraged by the enormous amount of online chatter this series has generated. I truly believe that there isn't enough communication about the real issues girls face today. Each HSC participant can be confident that they have contributed to that dialog.

It was an honor and privilege of a lifetime to have witnessed and documented these rich and poignant stories. The Class of 2006 taught me a lifetime of lessons. My deepest appreciation to everyone involved!
