Tell us about who you are:

I am scared, but determined; life is my motive. I'm a black female searching for a reason. I'm confused, yet sure; I don't know where I'm going, but I know I'm going somewhere. I want to be loved, but am afraid to be hurt. I am a procrastinator but I am sure I will get the job done. I'm on a never-ending quest for knowledge. I am afraid to grow old, but work hard to pass childhood. Not many people understand me, but what they know, they like. I'm harmonious but shy. Lastly, I'm poetic but outspoken.

What are you most excited about when thinking about high school?

Everything! From the boys to the parties! The large range of choice you get! Being able to make your own decisions; the freedoms! I have waited so long to be in high school and here it is! All the opportunities!

What is your greatest fear about high school?

I have so many dreams for my future and I'm afraid that I will fail. That it will be too hard or that I will disappoint my parents by not succeeding. Failure is not a word you hear in my house and I'm afraid the word will come up in me.
